20th July 2002 - Sixties Dance

A Sixties Dance was held on Saturday 20 July at Shoreham Airport. The dance was run to raise funds for the Dennis Kenyon Junior Helicopter Flying Scholarship. The scholarship was created to perpetuate the memory of Dennis Kenyon (Junior) who was tragically killed in an air accident in 2000. The aim of the scholarship is to train and fund aspiring young helicopter pilots.

Over 150 people attended the dance. A great time was had by all and our grateful thanks and appreciation go to The Echotones for such a splendid evening.

After expenses, the final amount raised for the scholarship was £303.
