Virtually every Sunday in the Month
Cotton Club Jazztet

At Shoreham Airport, The ‘Cotton Club Jazztet’ have jazz sessions at Terminal 2 virtually every Sunday evening and have been since 1998. Up until earlier this year the event took place in the Main Terminal Building restaurant, and is now regularly at Terminal II. Details as follows:

Live Jazz at Terminal II, every(**) Sunday Evening from 8-10.30 pm, featuring the Cotton Club Jazztet. Admission £4. Full bar facilities and excellent value hot food are available at all sessions.

(**) except September 4th, due to the Shoreham Air Show.



Special guest evenings

These take place in the Fly-In Bar & Restaurant in the Main Terminal Building and will appear on the website.

A Special Guest appearance with the Cotton Club Jazztet

International tenor saxophone star Danny Moss, MBE, on September 11th 2005.

Tickets are £7 and available at the door, but it is advisable to book in advance with Peter Godfrey on 01903 761040.

The Cotton Club Jazztet's next guest will be Mike Piggott, on Violin and Strohviol.



He will be performing with the Band on Sunday October 9th at 8pm, in Terminal 2. Tickets are £4, and can be bought at the door, or in advance from Peter Godfrey on 01903 761040, or Chris MacDonald on 07773 910303.

Mike proved to be a very popular artist on his last visit, and promises to be equally entertaining on this visit.

Every Last Friday in the Month
Miles High



Shoreham Airport now has, every last Friday in the month, music in Terminal II. Playing in Wingfield House Terminal II, a group called ‘Miles High’ has taken over the slot of Richard Durrant.

They play a cross between rock and modern and are gathering great crowds. ‘Miles High’ start playing at 8.00 pm and finish at 11.00 pm and at the moment there is no entry charge.

Come along and see for yourself - I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Every second Tuesday in the month starting 12th July
The Ronnie Smith Big Band

Playing live in the Fly-In Bar & Restaurant. Ronnie Smith, a former Welsh Guards Band Musician, who played at the Assembly Hall in Worthing for several years. He broadcast with other bands on ‘Music While You Work’. His own orchestra have built up a tremendous reputation over the years and won the Melody Maker ‘Southern England Dance Band Championships’.

Ronnie Smith and his Big Band Sound played to a absolutely packed audience on the 12th July. What a turn out, people were even dancing on the viewing area. Ronnie must have been thrilled with the attendance.

They start playing at 8.00pm through to 10.30pm. Admission: FREE
