"Many thanks for all your help to make our wedding day run smoothly. We had a great day and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We were so pleased with everything that we booked our party at the Fly in bar too - the first barn dance to be held in there I gather!" Janette Malyon and Stewart LindfieldSaturday 15th July 2006
"We would like to thank you for giving us such a wonderful day, everything was perfect, you and your staff were brilliant in making the day such a success. Rona and Tom and their team gave us a marvelous spread and our guests commented on how helpful and happy all the staff were. We and many of our guests will be recommending Shoreham Airport as a great place to have a wedding or function. Our thanks again for making our special day run so smoothly. Please pass on our thanks to all who were involved. We have only just returned from a fabulous two weeks honeymoon in sunny Cornwall. Carol Shelly and Roy ChamberlainSaturday 22nd April 2006

First ever civil wedding ceremonyValerie Anne Barton and Jim Evans Saturday 24th July 2004
The first ever civil wedding ceremony to take place at Shoreham Airport. With all the historic memories this airport and terminal building has, here is one more to add to the list. On Saturday 24th July 2004 Valerie Anne Barton and Jim Evans got married. They even had the terminal building dating back to times gone by on their wedding invitations - that said it all for their enthusiasm for the 1930’s.
After their wedding, Don Partridge busked outside the terminal building to welcome guests for the reception in the evening in The Fly-In Bar & Restaurant. Jim arranged for guests to arrive by Sussex Country Coaches, who are also based at Shoreham Airport. The couple will be spending their honeymoon in Switzerland. |
